Amalgam was tasked with creating a conference table for Red Bull, designed in the style of a concrete skatepark bowl—an unusual challenge. Starting with only plan drawings from our client, we developed a complete 3D CAD model of the final shape. Once finalized, we designed an internal lattice framework made of plywood, which was CNC-machined and assembled like a jigsaw puzzle. The corners, featuring compound curves, were particularly challenging; they were CNC-machined from polyurethane foam board and finished separately. The table was completed with a concrete-effect laminate, with the corner sections meticulously integrated to blend seamlessly. The entire table was designed to be modular, ensuring easy installation and transport.
